DISTRIBUTION
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. A large company with global operations was having difficulty
handling their returned product. Simultaneously, the organization was converting
their inventory control system and experiencing IT problems. The customer brought
in IMSCO to assess the situation with the returns, and we offered a solution that
quickly eliminated the backlog. Having demonstrated our expertise in this area,
the customer contracted with IMSCO to staff a distribution center in Kentucky. In
four weeks, IMSCO hired and trained over 100 people to handle the operation. Today,
IMSCO manages hundreds of personnel throughout the Southeast on behalf of this company.
Partnering with clients to solve their distribution problems creates a mutually
beneficial relationship that keeps both IMSCO and our partners moving forward.

TRANSPORTATION
ATLANTA, GEORGIA. During the due diligence process of an acquisition, an existing
IMSCO customer discovered that employees working at the soon-acquired operations
were not the employees of the seller or otherwise qualified to drive for the purchaser.
Instead, the transport operations were being staffed through agreements with labor
placement companies or under collective bargaining agreements between the seller
and different union locals. Four weeks before the closing date, IMSCO was brought
in to offer a total workforce solution. IMSCO immediately went to work at over a
dozen locations in multiple states. During the four week period, IMSCO negotiated
with the union locals where applicable, and obtained collective bargaining agreements
with terms and conditions that were acceptable to all parties. IMSCO also recruited
and hired qualified drivers and the management staff needed to ensure that the transition
occurred seamlessly.

HUMAN RESOURCES/LABOR CONSULTING
ATLANTA, GEORGIA. A light manufacturing business received notice from the Social
Security Administration that mismatches were occurring with several of the company’s
employees’ records. Because they lacked the resources to investigate the matter
internally, the company hired IMSCO to resolve the situation. IMSCO professionals
audited the personnel files of the company’s employees and verified the social security
numbers. As a result, IMSCO was able to determine that compliance issues existed
with a majority of the workforce. To immediately rectify this situation without
impacting the client’s business, IMSCO began running an ad campaign and held job
fairs to recruit replacement workers within days. Once IMSCO obtained qualified
new hires, the replacement workforce was trained off site and then backfilled into
the facility in a single day. Thanks to IMSCO’s unique expertise, no interruption
of workflow occurred, even though a majority of the company’s workers were replaced.

COMPLIANCE
AUGUSTA, GEORGIA. A client of IMSCO’s needed a system through which it could have
immediate access to information within employee’s driver qualification files. Rather
than outsource this capability, as often done, IMSCO created software in-house which
provides the customer 24/7 access to driver information. IMSCO developed the system
to include real-time information, from DOT Safety Training certifications to OSHA
standings. This innovation allows clients to generate compliance reports and provides
45 days advanced notice if certification renewal is required. All this information
can be accessed from the field via a secure portal, making auditing a snap. Employees
can also access their records through this portal so that they too can ensure compliance
with the law, and they can automatically receive reminders of impending compliance issues
through this system via payroll records.
